Welcome to Whitefish Bay

One of Milwaukee’s most desirable suburbs, Whitefish Bay, is the jewel of the North Shore. Known affectionately as “The Bay” by residents, this charming neighborhood evokes the feel of Norman Rockwell’s quaint village scenes. With a seamless blend of nostalgia for simpler times and the chic modernity of a sophisticated metropolis, Whitefish Bay offers the best of both worlds. Set on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan, this close-knit, affluent town boasts eclectic culinary options, laid-back elegance, and a stylish collection of boutiques and bistros. The lush landscaping and picturesque setting make this highly walkable town a joy to explore. Discover Whitefish Bay real estate!

Known for its excellent schools, Whitefish Bay was founded on a commitment to education. In the town’s early days, farmers in the area demanded local schooling opportunities for the Bay’s children. In the spring of 1892, a group of more than 300 dynamic residents took matters into their own hands and organized not only their own school system but their own government, as well, independent of the city of Milwaukee. Today, the lovely Old Schoolhouse Park stands where the very first Whitefish Bay school once inspired the area’s children, across from the Whitefish Bay Public Library, which continues to support educational programs. Featuring an outstanding network of pristine parks and gorgeous green spaces, Whitefish Bay offers plenty of places for families to play, while those with an appreciation for architecture and design will delight in the area’s beautifully restored historic homes. The bluffs of Lake Michigan are home to some of Whitefish Bay’s most magnificent estates, complete with luxe amenities and spectacular waterfront views.
