Glendale holds a dear spot in my heart; it's where my wife and I set down our roots in our first home. For nearly 11 years, we were part of the River Forest community, and many of our dearest friends remain there to this day. Glendale's rich tapestry of history stretches back thousands of years, with its earliest inhabitants, the Woodland period Mound Builders, leaving behind burial mounds in Kletzsch Park. In the present, Glendale shines as one of the most diverse communities in Milwaukee County, boasting a harmonious blend of residential areas, retail spaces, lush parks, dynamic businesses, comprehensive healthcare, and exemplary schools.

Things to do

Bike some, or all, of the 135 miles of the Oak Leaf Trail, fish along the waterfalls on the Milwaukee River, hike, practice disk golf, go sledding or shoot archery at Kletzsch Park.  

Looking for group fun?  The Root Beer Bash is a Glendale ‘Must Dos. The Fourth of July celebration is one of metro-Milwaukee’s best celebrations with a parade, live music, and fireworks.
